Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Executive to focus on the China market. The ideal candidate will drive business growth by understanding Chinese consumers, building relationships with key partners, and executing strategies tailored to the Chinese market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire and grow clients from China.
  • Manage and engage with Chinese customers through platforms such as Xiaohongshu (RED), Douyin, Zhihu, WeChat, and other relevant social media channels.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, including competitor analysis, consumer behavior, and industry trends in China.
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, e-commerce platforms, KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), and other strategic partners in China.
  • Adapt marketing and sales strategies to Chinese culture and digital landscape.
  • Support cross-border operations, including compliance with Chinese regulations, payment methods, and logistics considerations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor products/services for the China market.
  • Track KPIs and report on business performance in China.
Requirements
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin), preferably native-level.
  • Strong understanding of Chinese social media platforms (Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Zhihu, WeChat, etc.) and digital marketing trends.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing targeting Chinese clients.
  • Knowledge of Chinese consumer behavior, e-commerce ecosystem, and cross-border trade.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
Preferred
  • Experience working with international companies entering China.
  • Experience with influencer marketing, e-commerce, and digital campaigns in China.
  • Understanding of Chinese regulations, payment systems (Alipay, WeChat Pay), and logistics for cross-border operations.
