Job summary

Staffhub Group is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee railway site safety and ensure all activities meet MOM requirements. You will perform inspections, manage documentation, and coordinate risk assessments and permits to work.

The role includes conducting toolbox talks, investigating incidents, and delivering safety training to staff, with reporting to the WSHO and support on incident handling at site.

Qualifications

• Must have Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator certificate.
• Minimum 2 years rail/third rail safety experience.
• Good knowledge of WSH Act and related regulations.
• BCSS certification is required and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections on railway sites in line with MOM requirements.
• Inspect tools and worksites regularly.
• Prepare monthly WSH reports, risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work statistics.
• Manage documentation, permits, and licenses related to safety, health and environment.
• Lead daily toolbox meetings.
• Conduct accident investigations and maintain statistics.
• Deliver safety training to employees.
• Report to the WSHO on safety matters.
• Assist in incident handling at site.

Conduct safety inspections related to railway to ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance to MOM safety requirements, ensuring all workers comply with MOM requirements

Conduct regular safety inspections of material tools, worksites etc

Preparation of monthly WSH reports, Risk Assessment, Method statement, permit to work statistics

Supervise, complete, ensure and attend to all documentation/ permit/ license as necessary related to work place, safety, health and environmental

Conduct daily tool box meeting

Accident investigations and updating statistics

Conduct safety training for employees

Report to the WSHO on all matters

Assist to handle all incidents at site

Requirements:

Must have certificate for Workplace safety & Health coordinator

With at least 2 years relevant experience in Rail/Third Rail will be advantage

Good knowledge of WSH act and other WSH related

Must possess BCSS (Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course)
