Job summary

MindGraph in Singapore seeks an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to act as the single accountable delivery lead for the DSO S/4HANA implementation, bound by the tender and contract. You will own end-to-end delivery across all phases, chair governance, manage cross-workstream dependencies, and ensure security/compliance for defence projects.

The role requires extensive SAP delivery experience, formal PM framework credentials, and ability to report to C-level or government steering

Job Description: SAP S/4HANA Project Manager 1. Proposed Project Role

SAP S/4HANA Project Manager

Single accountable delivery lead for the DSO S/4HANA implementation. Named in the tender submission and contractually bound: this individual cannot be substituted after award without the Client's written consent.

3. Proposed Project Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery across all phases (Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run) against the agreed schedule, budget and scope baseline.
• Serve as the single point of contact to the DSO project sponsor and steering committee; chair steering, and run the governance cadence and escalation path.
• Manage the integrated project plan, critical path, and inter-workstream dependencies across Finance-to-Manage, Hire-to-Retire, Procure-to-Pay and technical/data workstreams.
• Own the risk and issue register, change control process, and variation management.
• Lead the delivery team including functional leads, technical/Basis, data migration, security and authorisations, testing and OCM, plus subcontractors where applicable.
• Control commercials — resource loading, invoicing milestones, effort tracking against the tendered effort baseline, and margin protection.
• Own quality gates and deliverable acceptance, including the acceptance criteria defined in the contract.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore public-sector and defence-sector security requirements (IM8 or equivalent client-mandated standard), data residency and classified-handling obligations throughout delivery.
• Manage cutover and hypercare, including go/no-go decision preparation and post-go-live stabilisation.

4. Relevant SAP Implementation Experience

Minimum: 12+ years SAP delivery experience, of which 5+ years in project management roles and at least two full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementations led end-to-end (not brownfield support, not phase-only involvement).

5. Relevant Expertise

Evidence required against:

• Methodology: SAP Activate, plus a formal PM framework (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Functional breadth: sufficient understanding of FTM, HTR and PTP process areas to challenge design decisions and arbitrate cross-workstream conflicts — not deep configuration skill, but credible technical authority.
• Technical delivery: integration architecture, data migration governance, cutover planning, testing strategy (SIT/UAT/regression), authorisation design oversight.
• Public-sector / defence delivery: experience operating under government procurement contracts, classified or restricted data handling, security-cleared team management, and audit/compliance regimes.
• Stakeholder: demonstrated experience reporting to C-level or equivalent government/defence steering committees.

6. Relevant or Similar Large-Scale SAP Project Experience

Provide two to three detailed case examples matched to the role and to defence or air-gapped environments.

9. Certifications and Professional Qualifications

Required

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related discipline.
• PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner (current, not lapsed).
• SAP Activate Project Manager certification.

Strongly preferred

• SAP S/4HANA certification in at least one functional or technical area.
• Agile/Scrum credential (PSM, SAFe) where the delivery model is hybrid.
• Security-relevant credentials (CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 LA) given the defence context.
• Existing or prior Singapore security clearance.
