The Robotics Solutions Manager turns customer enquiries into deployable robot solutions. You scope each site, design the deployment on Movel RNS and Movel FMS, specify integrations and safety requirements, and take the solution through proposal and pilot with the engineering team.
Key responsibilities
- Scope customer requirements. Run site surveys for AMR, AGV, forklift and cleaning robot deployments, covering layout, floor condition, network coverage, traffic flow, payload and throughput.
- Design deployment solutions. Plan maps, zones, routes and missions on Movel RNS, and configure multi-robot traffic and task management on Movel FMS. Size the fleet from throughput and cycle times.
- Specify integrations. Define, with the engineering team, how robots connect to customer systems such as WMS, MES, lifts, automatic doors and conveyors through APIs.
- Define safety and operating requirements. Set out the safety measures and operating procedures for each deployment, referencing applicable standards such as ISO 3691-4 and the customer's site rules.
- Prepare proposals and support pilots. Write technical proposals with cost-benefit cases, lead the technical part of customer meetings, and support pilots and proofs of concept through to handover to the delivery team.
- Enable partners. Brief and train system integrators and robot OEM partners on deploying Movel.
- Improve the product and process. Feed customer and site findings to the product and engineering teams, and maintain reusable scoping templates and deployment checklists.
