Job summary

Talent-Merge Pte Ltd seeks an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to support major road and civil projects in Singapore. You will oversee contracts, manage costs, and lead a commercial team to ensure timely payments and strong cost control.

Collaboration with clients, consultants and subcontractors is essential to maximise cost recovery and mitigate risks. You will have a degree in QS/CE/Construction Mgmt with 15 years of relevant experience, including 3–5 years leading a commercial team on

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of Quantity Surveying and commercial experience.
• 3–5 years in leading a commercial team on major road/civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, claims, variation valuation and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Commercial Manager on commercial and contractual matters for major road and civil projects.
• Oversee main contracts and subcontract agreements, including notices and deadlines.
• Monitor costs, assess performance, forecast costs and identify overruns and recovery opportunities.
• Manage monthly progress claims, payments, certification and cash recovery.
• Lead evaluation, negotiation of claims, variation orders and changes to scope.
• Oversee subcontract procurement, evaluations, awards and final accounts.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect commercial interests.
• Prepare regular commercial reports and supervise the commercial team.
