Job summary

The Berkeley Education Alliance for Research in Singapore Limited (BEARS) invites applications for a post-doctoral chemist or biochemist to lead small-molecule discovery under the SURF program in Singapore. You will design and execute RNA-targeted screening campaigns, apply AI-driven structural modeling, and collaborate with senior scientists and a bioinformatician to advance multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, or closely related discipline; 1–5 years postdoc experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute small-molecule and library screening campaigns against RNA and RNA-binding protein targets.
• Apply computational tools including AlphaFold and docking to guide hit identification and optimization.
• Analyze screening data and troubleshoot unsuccessful approaches while maintaining detailed records.
• Train or mentor students and research technicians; disseminate findings at conferences or publications.
