Job summary

National University of Singapore seeks a Senior Research Scientist to lead a project on RNA therapeutics, focusing on how RNA drugs escape endolysosomes. The role requires a PhD and strong independent, team-oriented scientific skills in molecular biology with a passion for impactful RNA research.

Qualifications

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
• At least 2 first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong expertise in modern molecular biology techniques including CRISPR, sequencing and proteomics.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead experiments to study RNA therapeutics and endolysosome escape.
• Perform genome-wide CRISPR screening and proteomics analyses.
• Apply high-resolution imaging to dissect cellular mechanisms.
• Contribute to manuscript drafting, grant applications, and presentations.
• Mentor junior researchers and maintain lab safety and organization.
• Collaborate with PI to drive high-impact discoveries.
