About the role
Be part of a team supporting RF and electromagnetic measurement capabilities for complex engineering systems. Using advanced test instrumentation, you will conduct RF measurements to assess, validate, and analyse the performance of components and integrated engineering systems.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct RF measurement in accordance with approved procedures.
- Configure and operate vector network analysers, spectrum analysers and associated RF test equipment.
- Develop, execute, and document calibration, verification, and system performance checks.
- Analyse measurement results, evaluate uncertainty, identify anomalies, and lead technical troubleshooting activities.
- Prepare test plans, procedures, technical reports, data summaries, and customer presentations.
- Support measurement method development, automation initiatives, software enhancements, and capability improvement projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet technical, quality, and project requirements.
- Guide technicians during equipment setup, testing, data capture, and laboratory activities.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, security, and laboratory procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities and assignments as directed by the Department Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Good understanding of RF, microwave, electromagnetics, or material characterization principles.
- Experience with VNA measurements and tools such as MATLAB, Python, CST, HFSS, or equivalent is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a laboratory and engineering environment.
