Job summary

MISSION MICROWAVE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced PCB Layout Designer/Design Engineer to develop next-generation VSAT and satellite communication systems.

You will lead the design, layout, testing, and optimization of multi-layer PCBs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure peak performance and manufacturability. The role emphasizes signal integrity, RF design, impedance-controlled routing, and DFM practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of RF and/or PCB design experience.
• Experience with multi-layer PCB design and high-speed layouts.
• Proficient in Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics.
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital, mixed-signal, and RF design.
• Familiar with EMI/EMC, IPC standards, PCB manufacturing and assembly.
• Experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics and PCB layouts from system specs.
• Place components, route, define stack-up, and optimize for SI/PI and manufacturability.
• Support RF/high-frequency design with impedance control and grounding strategies.
• Generate manufacturing docs: Gerber, pick-and-place data, fabrication drawings.
• Maintain libraries, IPC compliance, and internal design standards.
• Collaborate with RF, hardware, mechanical, software and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
• Support DFMA reviews and continuous product improvement.

Shape the future of satellite connectivity! We are seeking an experienced PCB Layout Designer / Design Engineer to develop next-generation VSAT and satellite communication systems.

You will lead the design, layout, testing, and optimization of advanced multi-layer PCBs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure peak performance, quality, and seamless manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical schematics and PCB layouts based on system requirements and engineering specifications.
• Developelectrical schematics and multi-layer PCB layoutsbased on system and engineering requirements.
• Performcomponent placement, routing, stack-up definition, and design optimization, with a strong focus on signal integrity, power integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability.
• SupportRF and high-frequency PCB design, including impedance-controlled routing and effective grounding strategies.
• UtilizeECAD tools such as Altium Designer; familiarity with RF simulation tools such asAWR or HFSSis an advantage.
• Generatemanufacturing and assembly documentation, including Gerber files, pick-and-place data, and fabrication/assembly drawings.
• MaintainPCB libraries, internal design standards, and IPC compliance.
• Supportprototype assembly, board bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and design validation.
• Collaborate closely withRF, hardware, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teamsto resolve design and production issues.
• SupportDFM/DFA reviews, ECR/ECO processes, and continuous product improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree inElectronics, Electrical, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experiencein RF and/or PCB design.
• Experience withmulti-layer PCB design, controlled impedance, and high-speed/RF layouts.
• Proficient inAltium Designer, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge ofanalog, digital, mixed-signal, and RF design.
• Familiar withEMI/EMC, IPC standards, PCB manufacturing, and assembly.
• Experience withoscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, and other lab equipment.
