Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd invites applications for a 6-month contract Test Technician to gain hands-on experience in the semiconductor equipment testing environment in Singapore. You will perform machine testing and electrical testing on various machine models, following approved procedures.

You will troubleshoot issues, analyze failures, collaborate with engineering and QA teams, and ensure test records are accurate and complete for quality reviews.

Job description

Looking to gain hands‑on technical experience in the semiconductor industry? Join us as a 6 months contract Test Technician and receive exposure to machine testing, electrical testing, troubleshooting and semiconductor equipment!

Job Responsibilities

Machine Testing & Functional Verification

• Perform functional, electrical and operational testing of semiconductor machines according to approved procedures and work instructions.
• Verify machine components including sensors, motors, robots, interlocks and safety systems.
• Conduct testing across different machine models and configurations before final quality inspection and shipment.
• Ensure testing activities are completed according to production schedules and shipment timelines.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Identify and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and control-system issues during machine testing.
• Analyse test failures and assist in identifying the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.
• Perform retesting after corrective actions to ensure issues have been successfully resolved.

Documentation & Quality

• Complete test logs, reports, rework records and production documentation accurately.
• Update testing status and results in the relevant manufacturing systems.
• Ensure test records are accurate and traceable for quality reviews and audits.

Requirements

• Minimum A Level, NITEC, Higher NITEC or any relevant Diploma qualification.
• Comfortable with hands‑on work involving machines, equipment and electrical / mechanical components.
• Able to read and follow SOPs, work instructions and technical documentation.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset.
