Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Woodlands seeks an engineering tester for a 6-month contract. You will perform functional, electrical and operational testing of machines, verify components, sensors and safety features, and troubleshoot issues during testing.

Must have NITEC or Diploma in engineering and be willing to rotate between day and night shifts. Overtime and shift allowances apply where relevant, with potential for permanent placement based on client needs.

Qualifications

• Min NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in equipment testing, troubleshooting or machine operations is advantageous.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, electrical and operational testing of machines and equipment according to procedures.
• Verify functionality of machine components, sensors, motors, robotics and safety features.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical and equipment issues during testing.
• Assist in diagnosing faults and retesting after corrective actions.
• Record test results, update reports and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to resolve issues and ensure standards.
• Follow SOPs, safety guidelines and quality requirements.
• Support daily testing activities to meet production schedules and shipment deadlines.

Location: Woodlands

The initial three months will be on day shift, followed by three months on night shift.

6 months Contract, contract-to-permanent and direct permanent opportunities may be available, subject to client requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform functional, electrical and operational testing of machines and equipment according to established procedures and work instructions.
• Verify the functionality of machine components, sensors, motors, robotic systems and safety features.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical and equipment-related issues during testing.
• Assist in diagnosing equipment faults and conducting retesting after corrective actions.
• Record test results, update test reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work closely with engineering, production and quality teams to resolve technical issues and ensure equipment meets required standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures, workplace safety guidelines and quality requirements.
• Support daily testing activities to meet production schedules and shipment deadlines.

Job Requirements

• Min NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in equipment testing, troubleshooting or machine operations will have an advantage.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts.

Working Hours

• Day Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Night Shift: 8:30 PM - 5:30 AM

Overtime may be required and is paid at 1.5 times the basic hourly rate.

Shift allowance and overtime allowance are provided, where applicable.

Salary

Up to $28000 (depending on experience)
