Job summary

Grant Thornton Singapore is seeking a candidate for its Restructuring and Insolvency team. The role supports day-to-day engagements including liquidation, receivership, and debt restructuring while building relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The successful applicant will assist with financial analysis, reporting, and presentations, collaborate across levels, and contribute to business development efforts within a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant field.
• Fresh graduate or minimum 1 year of experience for associate role, minimum 2 years of experience for senior associate role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day restructuring and insolvency engagements (liquidation, receivership, schemes, debt restructuring)
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and clients
• Liaise with stakeholders, creditors, and other advisors
• Prepare draft correspondence, reports, and presentations
• Reconstruct accounting records from incomplete information
• Undertake investigative work to recover assets for insolvent estates
• Participate in client meetings
• Assist seniors with company analysis and financial modelling
• Attend to statutory and compliance matters in insolvency work
