Job summary

SAKUNTHALA'S KITCHEN in Singapore is seeking a friendly Restaurant Cashier to handle payments, process orders, issue receipts and maintain accurate cash records. You will contribute to smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction.

The role requires light to medium cash handling, good numeracy, basic computer skills, and reliable punctuality. Training is provided; applicants should be available for weekends and public holidays in a fast-paced F&B environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary education preferred.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Basic numerical and computer skills.

• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers politely and assist with payment transactions.
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, PayNow, and other accepted payment methods.
• Operate the cashier system (POS) accurately and efficiently.
• Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Maintain accurate cash balances and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Assist customers with menu enquiries, prices, promotions, and payment matters.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure orders are processed correctly.
• Keep the cashier counter clean, organised, and presentable.
• Prepare daily sales summaries and assist with cash reconciliation when required.
• Follow restaurant procedures, hygiene standards, and company policies.
• Assist with packing takeaway orders or other restaurant duties when necessary.

Job Responsibilities
