Job summary

5G-Starlink Pte. is seeking a Restaurant Captain/Supervisor in Singapore to lead guest service, manage reservations, and oversee opening and closing operations. The role requires strong people leadership and a focus on promotions and menu knowledge.

You will greet guests, present menus, take and relay orders, and supervise mise-en-place and stock checks. This on-site position emphasizes safety, hygiene, and high service standards in a fast-paced F&B environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the F&B industry.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage opening/closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Take reservations and inquire about the purpose of visit.
• Greet guests promptly with eye contact, courtesy and a smile.
• Present menus and highlight promotions and items not available.
• Take and repeat orders, and inform guests of estimated service time.
• Supervise mise-en-place preparation and topping up for side stations.
• Operate POS system efficiently to enter orders.
• Monitor inventory checks and ensure stock levels are accurate.
• Ensure compliance with food & beverage safety and hygiene policies.
• Oversee opening, operating, and closing procedures.
• Delegate tasks to servers and captains to maintain service standards.

About the job Restaurant Captain / Supervisor

Job Scope

• Take reservations and enquire purpose of visit.
• Greet each guest promptly, courteously with eye contact, smile and good body posture.
• Present menu and share promotions, specials and items that are not available.
• Take food and beverage orders, repeat orders to guests and inform guest of estimated time to serve.
• Supervise preparation/ topping up of mise-en-place for side station.
• Key orders in the Point-of-Sale system efficiently.
• Supervise the checking of food and beverage inventories and stocks are completed in a consistent and accurate manner.
• Follow Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures.
• Supervise opening, operating and closing procedures.
• Ensure systems are in place to maintain the required standards of professionalism, cleanliness and service delivery.
• Delegate duties & responsibilities to servers and captains.
