Job summary

Sunbeam Place in Singapore is seeking a dependable Residential Care Assistant to provide supervision, practical care and guidance in a safe home environment.

You will support daily routines, accompany residents to appointments, and maintain records while working part-time rostered shifts, including weekends. Prior caregiving or volunteer experience is an advantage.

• Monitor residents’ well-being, maintain records, report concerns or medical issues.
• Support prescribed medication routines only as directed by the Home.

Sunbeam Place is a residential care home for children and young people. We are looking for a dependable and patient Residential Care Assistant to provide consistent supervision, practical care, and guidance in a safe, supportive home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and support residents’ daily routines, including dressing, grooming, meals, and personal hygiene.
• Build respectful relationships through companionship and positive engagement.
• Support school attendance, scheduled programmes, and age-appropriate activities.
• Escort and supervise residents to appointments and off-site activities when assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and follow house procedures and safeguarding practices.
• Encourage positive behaviour with a calm, trauma-informed approach.
• Monitor residents’ well-being, maintain required records, and promptly report concerns, incidents, or medical issues.
• Support prescribed medication routines only as directed by the Home.

Work arrangement

Part-time rostered shifts, including weekends and shift work. Short-notice cover may be requested subject to availability. The role is based at Sunbeam Place, 28 Hong San Terrace, Singapore 688247.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• GCE ’O’ Level or equivalent.
• Good English communication skills.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort with rostered shifts, including weekends, and active caregiving duties.
