Job summary

KCL CONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced site supervisor for residential building projects. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and statutory requirements, while managing quality and progress on site.

The candidate will supervise structural works, coordinate with the Consultant and client, and maintain thorough site documentation. Malay/English communication skills are valued, with a 36-month contract beginning November 2026.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in supervision of residential buildings.
• Resident Technical Officer Certificate (IES/ACES) is required.
• Must be conversant with statutory codes and requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Understand project specifications and drawings; ensure site activities comply with regulations and client requirements.
• Monitor site works to ensure method statements and work procedures are followed.
• Supervise structural works and identify non-conformities in contractor’s work site.
• Ensure builders follow Consultant’s instructions.
• Check drawings for discrepancies and suggest solutions to prevent delays.
• Conduct quality inspections and QC of materials used on site.
• Maintain documentation of site inspections, safety records, and drawings.
• Update site records on progress, housekeeping, and reports.
• Verify contractors’ progress payments and material deliveries.
• Witness inspections, testing and commissioning for compliance with designs.
• Report to project QP/Consultants Team on quality and progress.

Job Description:

• Understanding of Project Specifications, construction drawings and to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client’s requirements
• Monitor site works to ensure the method statements and work procedure are strictly followed.
• Competent in carrying out supervision of structural works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor’s work site
• Ensure the Builder executes the work in accordance to Consultant’s instructions
• Check drawings for discrepancies and highlight to Consultant, suggesting possible solutions to prevent delays
• Conduct quality inspections and quality control of materials used for the project
• To ensure proper documentation of site inspection records, safety records and approved /as-built drawings
• Maintaining and updating site records on progress of work, housekeeping and preparing reports
• Verify the contractors’ progress payment, claim in terms of work done and materials/equipment delivered and stored on site
• Witness all the inspection, testing and commissioning sessions performed by the contractors to ensure compliance with designs and specifications
• Report to project QP / Project Consultants Team on quality and progress
• Period: 36 months
• Start from: November 2026

Requirement:

• Min Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in supervision of residential buildings
• Resident Technical Officer Certificate accredited by IES / ACES
• Conversant in statutory code and requirements
• Good team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills essential
