Job summary

Engineers 9000 Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) to supervise and inspect on-site works for major industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and authority requirements.

You will monitor workmanship, materials, progress, safety, and coordinate with RE, QP, EPC contractors, consultants and clients to resolve site matters; witness inspections and maintain records.

Job description

Project Locations: Jurong Island / Tuas, Singapore

Join Engineers 9000 as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) and gain hands-on exposure to major industrial and infrastructure projects in Singapore.

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented RTO who enjoys being on site, working closely with project teams and ensuring that works are carried out safely, correctly and in accordance with approved requirements.

What You Will Do

• Supervise and inspect site works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and authority requirements.

• Monitor workmanship, materials, construction progress and site safety.

• Identify non-compliant works and follow up on the necessary rectification.

• Witness site inspections, testing and other quality-control activities.

• Maintain clear and accurate site reports, inspection records and supporting documentation.

• Work closely with the RE, QP, EPC contractors, consultants and clients to coordinate and resolve site matters.

• Monitor defects and rectification works through to satisfactory completion.

• Support authority inspections, project handover and other project-related activities.

What We Are Looking For

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Building Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized Polytechnic or University.

• IES/ACES accreditation as an RTO / Qualified Site Supervisor, with a valid practising certificate.

• At least 3 years of relevant site supervision experience.

• Experience in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, power, industrial process plant, port, marine, reclamation or infrastructure projects will be an advantage.

• Good understanding of Singapore construction practices, authority requirements and statutory regulations.

• Responsible, observant and confident in identifying and raising site issues.

• Good communication and teamwork skills, with good written and spoken English.
