Job summary

ASTA VENTURES PTE. LTD. invites a Resident Technical Officer (RTO - Civil & Structural/Geotechnical) to oversee site supervision on major construction projects in Singapore.

You will require a minimum of five years as an RTO, a Diploma in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical, IES and ACES accreditation, BCSS certification, and strong knowledge of codes, QC, and progress reporting. Flexibility to work in shifts and proactive problem-solving will help keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as an RTO with supervision of projects of similar complexity.
• Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical disciplines from a recognized polytechnic.
• Accredited by IES and ACES.
• BCSS course certificate is required.
• Familiar with site supervision codes, QC procedures, and progress reporting.
• Demonstrated record-keeping of site progress.
• Proactive problem-solving and team-oriented approach.
• Willing to work in shifts.

Job description

Resident Technical Officer (RTO - Civil & Structural/Geotechnical)

• a. Experience:A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an RTO, with at least 5 years in supervising works of similar complexity. This includes major construction projects involving buildings, tunnels, deep excavations, and foundations, as well as tasks such as installing monitoring instruments and collating monitoring data.
• b. Qualifications:Possess a Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical disciplines from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent institution.
• c. Accreditation:Accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
• d. Safety Certification:Hold a valid certificate in the Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course.
• e. Technical Knowledge:Be conversant with statutory codes and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration, and the submission of progress reports.
• f. Record-Keeping:Demonstrate competence in maintaining accurate and updated site records of work progress.
• g. Problem-Solving:Be proactive in resolving and managing site issues while fostering a positive team spirit.
• h. Flexibility:Must be willing to work in shifts.
