Job summary

JJGL Ventures Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) for Civil, Structural and Geotechnical supervision.

The role requires a Diploma in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical disciplines and accredited IES/ACES recognition, plus a BCSS certification. The candidate will supervise major projects and ensure timely reporting of progress on site. Experience: minimum 5 years as an RTO with similar complexity, and readiness to work in shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical disciplines from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent.
• Accredited by IES and ACES.
• BCSS safety certification holder.
• Conversant with codes, site supervision, QC procedures, and progress reporting.

Job description

Resident Technical Officer (RTO - Civil & Structural/Geotechnical)

a.Experience:A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an RTO, with at least 5 years in supervising works of similar complexity. This includes major construction projects involving buildings, tunnels, deep excavations, and foundations, as well as tasks such as installing monitoring instruments and collating monitoring data.

b.Qualifications:Possess a Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical disciplines from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent institution.

c.Accreditation:Accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).

d.Safety Certification:Hold a valid certificate in the Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course.

e.Technical Knowledge:Be conversant with statutory codes and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration, and the submission of progress reports.

f.Record-Keeping:Demonstrate competence in maintaining accurate and updated site records of work progress.

g.Problem-Solving:Be proactive in resolving and managing site issues while fostering a positive team spirit.

h.Flexibility:Must be willing to work in shifts.
