Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of working experience.
• Experience in construction industry / HDB BTO projects.
• An engineering degree in the appropriate discipline.
• Experience in project management from conception to delivery.
• Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans.
• Professional and confident approach to working relationships.
• Team-orientated with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and peers.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently when required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, supervisory and client management skills.
• Solid organisation skills, including multitasking and time management.
• Demonstrated good presentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the technical performance of projects assigned.
• Assist the team leader in maintaining and developing AIS’s client base by winning clients’ satisfaction and trust during the performance of assigned projects.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals for potential projects.
• Assist the team leader and work closely with members within the Function Group in relation to project programming, implementation, review, monitoring and management; preparation of disciplinary system designs and reports.
• Demonstrate leadership and enthusiasm to staff within the team and motivate those staff to achieve performance.
• Assist the Function Group Leader, Principal Engineer, and Senior Engineer, working closely with regional management and Sector Director to broaden AIS’s reputation.
• Carry out duties and functions as directed by the Function Group Leader.
• Work with the Project Manager to prepare action plans, including resources, timeframes and budget for the project.
• Coordinate with the client, sub-consultant and design team to attend meetings, liaise with authorities, and manage project communications.
• Perform schedule and risk management, maintain project documentation, write reports, and handle project queries.
• Ensure that the client’s needs are met as the project evolves.
• Undertake some minor hydraulic designs.
• Support the business development and pursuits in the Water and Infrastructure projects.
