Job summary

HT PRIME CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Resident Engineer to supervise works on-site and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves coordinating with consultants, attending meetings, and maintaining comprehensive records of inspections and progress. The candidate must hold a PE Board-recognized degree in C&S Engineering and be a Registered Resident Engineer with IES/ACES, with at least 8 years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of civil engineering experience with at least 5 years in supervision.
• Registered Resident Engineer with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of IES/ACES in Singapore.
• Monitor, supervise and inspect works as directed by the client and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection of civil and structural works prior to concreting or subsequent construction works
• Supervise concreting, pavement, drainage construction work
• Check and assess temporary works and ERSS by the contractors to ensure C&S and building works are safe and compliant
• Work and report site activities to consultants and clients
• Ensure records of all civil and structural works are updated timely and properly kept
• Attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings
• Provide overview of WSH and aerodrome safety management systems and risk analyses, and implement safe working practices on site
• Resolve main contractor’s queries and coordinate the works and other contractors on site
• Undertake any other duties including administrative tasks related to the project as instructed

Job description

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection of civil and structural works prior to concreting or subsequent construction works
• Supervise concreting, pavement, drainage construction work
• Check and assess temporary works and ERSS by the contractors to ensure that the C&S and building works are safe and in compliance with all relevant regulations
• Work and report site activities to consultants and clients.
• Ensure that records of all civil and structural engineering works, including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are updated in a timely manner and properly kept
• Attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings
• Together with the safety team, provide overview of WSH and aerodrome safety management systems and risk analyses and implementation of safe working practices on site, provide safety oversight and ensure main contractors and their sub-contractors adhere to the approved safe work procedures for the works and all relevant personnel and regulatory safety requirements
• Resolve main contractor’s queries and coordinate the works and other contractors on site
• Undertake any other duties including administrative tasks related to the project as and when instructed by the client or consultants

Requirements

• Possess Degree in C&S Engineering recognized by the PE Board of Singapore
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as a civil engineer, of which at least 5 years shall be in supervision of works, i.e. Industry / Warehouses Building Works, Major A&A in Industry Buildings/Warehouses
• Registered Resident Engineer with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
