Job summary

Surbana Jurong is hiring a Resident Engineer to lead a team of technical supervisors on site in Singapore. You will ensure works meet regulatory and client requirements, coordinate with engineers and authorities, and drive timely project completion while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will oversee structural and geotechnical works, review drawings, manage site documentation, and participate in progress and technical meetings to resolve issues and maintain MOM compliance.

Qualifications

• Possess relevant degree from a recognized University and is a registered Resident Engineer with IES.
• Minimum 5 years of C&S work experiences with strong knowledge of precast structures, structural steel and local construction practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
• AutoCAD and BIM knowledge preferred.
• Good supervisory and leadership skills.
• Possess effective communication skills and able to interact with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of technical supervisors on site to ensure that all works comply fully with regulatory and client's requirements.
• Work closely with SO Rep Assistant, Professional Engineers, regulatory authorities and contractors to provide planning, design and supervision leadership to solve site problems and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Responsible for implementing and sustaining the site supervision quality & safety assurance system.
• Carry out supervision of structural & geotechnical works and identify non-conformities on site.
• Understand drawings & contract documents and implement the site supervision quality and safety assurance system.
• Carry out regular site checks on contractor & ensure compliance with health and work safety in accordance with MOM regulation.
• Attend site progress and technical meetings to resolve site and technical issues.
• Ensure proper site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method statements, shop drawings, as built submissions, etc.
