Temasek Laboratories@NTU in Singapore seeks a Research Scientist with a strong background in semiconductor laser diodes, semiconductor photonics, or related materials. The candidate should hold a PhD or a Master’s with 8+ years of relevant experience and be skilled in cleanroom processes, lithography, and optical simulations. Shortlisting will apply.

Qualifications

• PhD degree or Master’s with at least 8 years relevant experience in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with cleanroom processes, including lithography, PECVD deposition, metal deposition, and rapid thermal annealing; optical mask design; optical simulation (BPM or FDTD); and fabrication/characterization of laser diodes/semiconductors.
• Strong writing skills for proposals, reports and publications in good academic journals.

Temasek Laboratories@NTU is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Scientist who has a research background on semiconductor laser diode/semiconductor photonics/semiconductor material. The staff will be involved in semiconductor laser diode related project.

Key Responsibilities:

• To assist with research operations, including the procurement of laboratory supplies, experimental setup, literature reviews, evaluation of product specifications, and establishment of safe work processes.
• To lead the fabrication, characterization, and analysis of laser diodes.
• To support project-related activities, including events, publications, proposal preparation, planning, monitoring, and reporting, as required.

Job Requirements:
