Job summary

NTU, in collaboration with Alibaba Group, seeks a Research Scientist - Green AI to push energy-efficient AI research and scalable systems for large models. You will develop novel algorithms and system-level innovations to reduce energy and compute needs while maintaining performance.

Responsibilities include publishing at top conferences, collaborating with internal and external partners, and mentoring junior researchers as ANGEL advances sustainable AI for global impact.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing, Efficient Deep Learning, AI Model Optimization, etc.
• Research experience in Green AI, sustainable computing, or energy-efficient machine learning.
• Excellent publication records in reputable journals/conferences
• Strong programming skills in Python and modern AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong publication record in top-tier AI conferences and/or journals.
