NTU Singapore's Alibaba-NTU Global e-Sustainability CorpLab (ANGEL) seeks a Research Scientist – Green AI to advance efficient, sustainable AI. You will develop novel algorithms and system-level innovations to improve energy and computational efficiency while maintaining strong model performance.

Ideal candidates have a PhD in CS/AI/NLP, strong publication records, and proven work on LLMs, efficient deep learning, model optimization, and AI systems.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, NLP or closely related field.
• Demonstrated publications in top AI conferences/journals.
• Experience with Green AI, sustainable computing or energy-efficient ML.
• Strong programming skills in Python and modern AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Conduct research on Green AI technologies, including efficient training and inference of foundation models and large language models (LLMs).
• Develop scalable AI systems that enable practical deployment of foundation models on resource‑constrained computing platforms.
• Develop AI technologies that contribute to sustainability applications.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing, Efficient Deep Learning, AI Model Optimization, etc.
• Research experience in Green AI, sustainable computing, or energy‑efficient machine learning.
• Excellent publication records in reputable journals/conferences
• Strong programming skills in Python and modern AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong publication record in top‑tier AI conferences and/or journals.
