Job summary

Nanyang Technological University’s Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) invites a Research Fellow to advance zeolite synthesis and catalyst development. The role covers hydrothermal and solvothermal synthesis, catalyst loading, impregnation and ion exchange, plus performance evaluation in fixed-bed and batch reactors.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in chemistry or related field, with 2+ years in zeolite work, and experience with GC/HPLC and materials characterization.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials chemistry.
• At least 2 years of zeolite synthesis and catalyst development experience.
• Familiar with GC, HPLC and materials characterization methods.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hydrothermal and solvothermal synthesis of zeolites and catalyst loading.
• Design formulations and optimize processes for zeolite-based catalysts.
• Set up and maintain catalyst testing in fixed-bed and batch reactors.
• Assess activity, selectivity and stability in hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, and isomerization.
