Job summary

NTU Singapore seeks a Research Fellow to advance a project on Self-Healing Ductile Cementitious Composites for durable coastal protection infrastructure. The role focuses on chemical synthesis, concrete specimen prep and mechanical testing, plus microstructural analysis with XRD/TGA/FTIR/SEM-EDX.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in engineering, materials science, or chemistry with several publications and strong references from prior supervisors. Shortlisted candidates only.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry or related field.
• Strong publications and references from previous supervisors.
• Experience in chemical synthesis, analysis and materials testing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out research on Self-Healing Ductile Cementitious Composites for coastal protection.
• Perform chemical synthesis, sample preparation and mechanical testing.
• Conduct microstructural characterization using XRD, TGA, FTIR and SEM-EDX.
