NTU Singapore seeks a Research Fellow to advance a project on Self-Healing Ductile Cementitious Composites for durable coastal protection infrastructure. The role focuses on chemical synthesis, concrete specimen prep and mechanical testing, plus microstructural analysis with XRD/TGA/FTIR/SEM-EDX.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in engineering, materials science, or chemistry with several publications and strong references from prior supervisors. Shortlisted candidates only.

We are looking for aResearch Fellow to support the research for the project titled “Self-Healing Ductile Cementitious Composites for Durable and Resilient Coastal Protection Infrastructure”. The role will focus on carrying out research according to the proposed milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Research Fellow (RF) will work on a project to conduct the research on development ofSelf-Healing Ductile Cementitious Composites for Durable and Resilient Coastal Protection Infrastructure.
• The RF should have previous experience in chemical synthesis and analysis, concrete sample preparation, mechanical testing and microstructural characterization (XRD, TGA, FTIR and SEM-EDX).
• Additional experience in carbon sequestration in cement-based material would be preferable, but not required.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in Engineering, Material Science or Chemistry or related field
• Strong academic standing with several publications in reputable journals
• Strong references from previous supervisors
