Job summary

National University of Singapore invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to advance integrated photonics, heterogeneous photonic integration, and high-speed electro-optic devices. You will develop lithium niobate and LN-on-Si photonic devices and explore micro-transfer printing for scalable integration.

The successful candidate will design, fabricate, and characterize devices, perform simulations, and publish results in leading journals and conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD required in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong background in integrated photonics and electro-optic devices.
• Hands-on micro-/nanofabrication in cleanroom environments.
• Experience with optical, electro-optic, and high-speed device characterization.
• Proficiency in photonic simulation and design tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance integrated photonic and electro-optic devices.
• Develop fabrication and heterogeneous integration processes including micro-/nanofabrication and micro-transfer printing.
• Conduct optical and electro-optic characterization and high-speed measurements.
• Simulate and optimize devices using Lumerical FDTD or similar tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and publish results at high-impact venues.
