Job summary

Singapore Management University seeks a Research Engineer to join the SMU Urban Institute to advance outdoor lane-level navigation research and indoor pedestrian positioning. You will implement software modules from GNSS/RTK concepts and integrate outputs into maps, supporting field tests.

Qualifications

Master's degree or Bachelor's with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in mobile or web development stacks and modern web frameworks.
Familiarity with GNSS/GPS concepts and RTK is a plus.
Strong communication and ability to work with researchers and external partners.

Responsibilities

Software implementation: develop deployable modules from GNSS/RTK algorithms and map integration.
Field testing and data collection: conduct indoor/outdoor testing at various venues.
Documentation and reporting: maintain technical docs and project milestones.
Data management: follow SMU data policies and project data handling.
Collaboration: coordinate with PhD students, postdocs and Co-PIs.
Other duties as assigned.
