Job summary

NTU Singapore’s Institute for Digital Molecular Analytics & Science (IDMxS) invites applications for a Research Associate to advance lipid nanoparticle (LNP) carrier work for mRNA delivery. You will collaborate with senior researchers to study physical properties, interactions with host cells, and contribute to both fundamental understanding and translational outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in life sciences (biochemistry, molecular cell biology, or related disciplines).
• Experience with soft matter structural characterization techniques.
• Familiar with lab operations, safety and management matters.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to write reports and review publications.
• Experience with fluorescence microscopy, spectroscopy, cell cultures and biochemical assays.

Responsibilities

• Use structural characterization techniques to understand LNP-mRNA aggregates with improved transfection efficiency and protein expression.
• Perform biophysical/biochemistry/molecular biology experiments and analyze data.
• Maintain effective communication among group members.
• Accurately document laboratory work and ensure traceability.
• Draft scientific publications and present findings internally and externally.
• Comply with laboratory safety standards and guidelines.
• Assist in lab management tasks as needed.
• Mentor junior team members.
