Job summary

NTU Singapore's Nano-Bio Interface Lab seeks a Research Fellow to unravel how lipid nanoparticles interact with membranes and to track intracellular delivery using advanced imaging. The role combines cutting-edge live-cell and super-resolution microscopy with quantitative analysis and biomimetic membrane systems.

You will lead projects, develop new experimental approaches, train junior researchers, and contribute to publications and grants in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a related field as listed in job requirements.
• Strong experience in advanced fluorescence microscopy and quantitative imaging.
• Hands-on work with super-resolution techniques is highly desirable.
• Experience with single-particle tracking or quantitative image analysis preferred.
• Background in biomimetic membranes or lipid nanoparticles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead research projects on LNP–membrane interactions and intracellular trafficking.
• Establish advanced imaging approaches including live-cell and super-resolution methods.
• Develop membrane systems such as supported lipid bilayers and lipid vesicles.
• Perform LNP preparation, characterization, and cellular delivery assessments.
• Develop image-analysis workflows for particle tracking and membrane dynamics.
• Analyze data, review literature, and prepare manuscripts for publication.
• Contribute to grant applications, presentations, and project reports.
• Collaborate across engineering, cell biology, biophysics, and imaging teams; supervise junior researchers.
