NHG Population Health, part of NHG Health, is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Population Health Management (PHM) Department in Singapore. The role focuses on BI indicators, population profiling, and dashboards to guide clinical and operational decisions.
Using SQL, Python, R, and Tableau/Power BI, you will blend diverse data sources, ensure data quality, and translate findings into insights for technical and non-technical audiences in a healthcare setting.
NHG Population Health, part of NHG Health, is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of 1.5 million residents in Central and North Singapore. Our work goes beyond hospitals, into neighbourhoods, schools and workplaces, by bringing care closer to where people live.
Through our three Missions - Population Health, Community Health and Primary Care - we partner hospitals, polyclinics, general practitioners, and community organisations to provide integrated, person-centred care across all life stages.
The Population Health Management (PHM) Department was established to help NHG Health take a more systematic, data-informed approach to managing the health of the population in Central and North Singapore. By making better use of clinical, operational, and demographic data, PHM aims to guide how resources are deployed to improve health outcomes, equity, and value for residents. PHM works across all levels, from individual residents to healthcare providers and communities, addressing not just clinical and preventive care, but also the social, environmental, and behavioural factors that shape health.
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our PHM Department. The role encompasses three core areas: (i) business intelligence and indicator reporting, (ii) population profiling, and (iii) dashboarding. The successful candidate will produce rigorous analyses to support decision-making by clinical leads, operations managers, and senior leadership, while engaging effectively with stakeholders to ensure outputs are relevant and actionable.
The Data Analyst will have the opportunity to gain cross‑functional exposure to how a health system operates, with access to rich and complex datasets. The work is directly tied to decisions that shape patient care, offering a clear and meaningful connection between analysis and impact.
A degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, data science, computer science, economics, or a related field is required. Candidates with a background in health informatics or public health analytics are also welcome.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, or equivalent.
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or equivalent.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Experience working in a data analytics role or in a healthcare-related setting will be advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a high degree of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, accessible insights for technical and non‑technical audiences, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment, with the ability to shift priorities and respond effectively to evolving needs.
