Job summary

FutureLearner.ai is seeking 1–2 Software Development Interns for a 3-month paid internship. You’ll work with our Tech Lead to build the Tamil Oral Practice Module, enabling primary school students to record responses, receive AI-powered feedback, and practice mother-tongue language skills.

This hands-on role involves real code, API integration, and contributing to a live product used by students and teachers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (polytechnic or university).
• Able to read/write JavaScript or TypeScript with some React exposure.
• Interested in AI, speech tech, or EdTech; 3-month commitment of up to 40 hours/week.
• Role is fully remote with daily alignment and progress updates.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend features for the Tamil Oral Practice Module.
• Integrate real AI speech APIs and connect to backend services.
• Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead and ship features to live product.
• Write production-grade code and participate in code reviews.
