Job summary

GOODMAN ENVIRONMENTAL PTE LTD is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material schedules, and detailed cost estimates for Singapore projects.

The role requires taking accurate quantity take-offs, evaluating quotations, tracking cost plans, supporting tendering, and assisting contract administration and VE initiatives with cross‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Proven experience in QS roles within the IFM, construction, or built environment sectors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material schedules, and detailed cost estimates.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for architectural, structural, and M&E components.
• Evaluate and compare vendor and subcontractor quotations for compliance and competitiveness.
• Prepare and track cost plans, budget forecasts, and cost control reports through all project phases.
• Support tendering processes by preparing cost breakdowns, pricing schedules, and tender inputs.
• Manage contract administration, including assessment of variation orders, progress claims, and contractual correspondence.
• Participate in site measurements, progress verification, and assessment of completed works for payments.
• Maintain updated cost databases, material pricing lists, and vendor rate records.
• Support value engineering (VE) initiatives to optimize costs while meeting design intent.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

• Proven experience in QS roles within the IFM, construction, or built environment sectors.

• Knowledge of local building codes, authority submission requirements, and design documentation standards.

• Experience in managing and coordinating design teams and working with multiple disciplines.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve design-related issues effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with quality control processes, contract administration, and cost management.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to fast-moving project demands.
