Job summary

Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) is hiring a fully remote ESG Associate to support ESG and impact assessments, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across Asia-Pacific. The role emphasizes rigorous analysis, writing, and cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable social and environmental outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in international development, expertise in ESG, and a passion for sustainable development. Travel within the APAC region may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Sustainable Development, Public Health, Economics, Social Sciences, or related fields.
• Experience: Min 4 years in international development with globally focused orgs.
• Expertise: Experience in one of IIX’s priority sectors (energy, agriculture, water, health, education).
• Communication Skills: Exceptional public speaking, writing, and storytelling abilities.
• Strategic Mindset: Translate vision into action and drive measurable results.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Experience managing cross-functional teams and projects.
• Location: Fully remote within APAC with travel availability.

Responsibilities

• ESG & Impact Assessment: Design and execute ESG/impact assessments for portfolio and programs.
• Research & Analysis: Study ESG/impact investing practices and trends.
• Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Develop ESG/impact reports and engage stakeholders.
• Systems Improvement & Thought Leadership: Improve ESG and impact management systems; develop thought leadership materials.
• External Engagement & Organizational Goals: Participate in industry events; support fundraising goals.
