Job summary

Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA) is seeking a Religious Officer for Darul Ihsan Girls' Orphanage in Singapore to foster residents' religious, emotional and personal development. You will engage youths in meaningful activities and collaborate with a dedicated team to create a nurturing environment.

The role requires a diploma/degree in Islamic studies, ARS certification, and relevant experience with children in care settings. A 5‑day work week with at least one weekend is expected.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/degree in Islamic studies required.
  • ARS certified or equivalent.
  • Experience with children in institutions or homes is an advantage.
  • Passion for teaching and guiding youth in religious matters.
  • Responsible and caring attitude.
  • 5‑day work week with at least one weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Engage residents in holistic, meaningful activities and programmes.
  • Serve as a positive role model, providing guidance and supervision.
  • Collaborate with Welfare Officers to ensure structure, boundaries and routines.
  • Assist residents in daily religious practices.
  • Be the primary contact for residents on religious concerns.
  • Prioritise safety and welfare and support overall development.
  • Collaborate with Mosques and IECPs to enhance residents' religious knowledge.
