Job summary

The Public Service Division (CMD) seeks a capable engineer to lead regulatory work in the carbon mitigation area. You will implement energy management requirements and enforce HFC mitigation measures within the industry sector.

You will engage with industry partners and agencies, performing both desk tasks and on-site inspections. The role requires strong analytical skills, writing ability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve engineering related issues.
• Good writing skills and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Team player with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• May be required to complete a medical declaration or assessment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce energy management regulatory requirements for industry.
• Enforce control measures for HFC mitigation and regulate high-GWP refrigerants.
• Study and implement new strategies to mitigate HFC emissions and tighten energy standards.
• Engage with industry partners and agencies to operationalise regulatory measures.
• Perform desk-bound work and on-site inspections amid a fast-paced environment.
