Singapore Airlines is seeking an Associate Overseas Accounting to join the Overseas Accounting department in the Finance Division. The role covers internal controls, month-end closing, accounts receivable and general ledger responsibilities across regional stations.

You may engage in budgeting, forecasting, and operational accounting tasks, support SAP access requests with SOD checks, and participate in user acceptance testing for system enhancements.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent required.
• Meticulous, self-driven and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel & Word.

Aufgaben

• Review and complete monthly accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, cash audit checklist and highlight and follow through any abnormalities with accountant and stations.
• Monitor and liaise with stations to ensure they have followed the procedures and policies stipulated in the Finance Manual in their accounting processes.
• Assists to support queries from stations on arising basis.
• Assist with review of station month-end financial closing activities.
• Monitor and ensure prompt clearance of suspense account; assist station in posting accounting entries for clearance.
• Follow up with stations on defaulted debts/aged debts to provide provisions for doubtful debt.
• Business partner with station BUs on variance analysis of station's operating expenses incurred.
• Review stations' submissions of their quarterly Budgetary Control Statement (BCS) reports.
• Assist in station's operating budget exercise on an annual basis.
• Assist station's request for billing to subsidiaries or third parties; handle SAP access requests with SOD checks.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements.
• Other assignments and projects as assigned from time to time.
