Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Five or more years in material testing, application engineering, technical sales support, product management or lab testing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical testing, materials characterization and industry standards.
• Excellent presentation, communication and training skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description – Regional Material Testing Application & Technical Support Manager

Position Summary
Provide technical leadership and commercial support for material testing solutions by supporting frontline sales, customers, service teams and global product management. The role acts as the technical bridge between local market requirements and global innovation teams, driving application development, technical marketing, market intelligence, new product introduction and advanced troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Application Support: Deliver product, application and industry-standard training; interpret ASTM, ISO, EN and other relevant test standards; perform sample testing; develop test methods; analyse test results; support customer evaluations; and conduct competitive benchmarking of material testing systems.
• Technical Marketing: Develop application notes, technical papers, case studies and testing guides; serve as a speaker at webinars, seminars, exhibitions and customer workshops.
• Industry Engagement: Participate in standards committees, industry associations and technical conferences; monitor regulatory and technology trends in material testing.
• Product Management & Innovation: Collect customer pain points, application challenges and market insights; provide voice-of-customer feedback to global innovation and strategic marketing teams; support new product development and validation projects.
• New Product Launch & Localization: Coordinate product launch activities, field trials, product validations, sales training and localization of technical collateral and application documentation.
• Service Support: Support service engineers in diagnosing complex application-related issues; conduct advanced customer troubleshooting and technical training.
