Job summary

GE Aerospace in Singapore seeks a seasoned professional to lead customs strategy and ensure compliant cross-border movements for GE businesses. You will apply deep knowledge of trade regulations, optimize processes, and guide policy implementation within a multinational aerospace footprint.

You will manage teams and projects, collaborate across functions, and advocate lean improvements in transport, distribution and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Logistics & Customs Operations.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Advanced expertise in international trade regulations, compliance and legal requirements.
• Strong experience in supplier and contractor management.
• Practical working knowledge of business process integration and strategic influencing.
• Practical working knowledge of transportation, distribution, and logistics.

Role Overview:

Provides direction, counsel, creates and executes on customs strategy affecting customs transactions on behalf of GE businesses. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

The ideal candidate is experience focus expertise on international trade regulations, compliance, and legal requirements and supplier governance.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in the Logistics & Customs Operations.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Demonstrated advanced expertise in international trade regulations, compliance and legal requirements.
• Strong experience in supplier and contractor management.
• Practical working knowledge of business process integration and strategic influencing.
• Practical working knowledge of transportation, distribution, and logistics.

• Candidate with export control experience is preferred.
