Regional IT Infrastructure & Operations Lead

Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Regional IT & Infrastructure Lead to own the IT infrastructure, operations stability and technology enablement across APAC. This senior hands-on role covers infrastructure, cloud, endpoint management, service operations and technology transformation.

You will work with global teams to keep the regional environment highly available, secure and resilient, driving continuous improvement and leading major incidents and regional projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure, systems engineering, IT operations or related field.
• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure regionally/globally, including cloud and hybrid setups.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Entra ID, M365, Azure, virtualization.
• Hands-on with Intune, Autopilot, Conditional Access and security policies.
• Proven experience with P1/P2 incidents, RCA, and major incident management.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects as technical lead or regional liaison.
• Good understanding of ITIL/ITSM and change management; cybersecurity awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own availability, performance and reliability of regional IT infrastructure and core platforms across APAC.
• Provide technical leadership across Microsoft infrastructure, cloud, networking, endpoints and collaboration platforms.
• Proactively monitor and improve infrastructure health, capacity and resilience.
• Lead major incident management, including troubleshooting, RCA and post-incident reviews.
• Partner with global IT, Cyber Security and Engineering teams on transformation, cloud adoption and regional initiatives.
• Lead or support APAC projects such as office moves, network upgrades, infrastructure refreshes and cloud migrations.
• Manage endpoint environments using Intune and Autopilot, including provisioning, patching, encryption and compliance.
• Work with Cyber Security to maintain security baselines and access controls.
• Evaluate emerging technologies via pilots and PoCs, identify automation opportunities.
• Review changes with risk assessment, testing and rollback planning.
• Manage vendors and third-party providers, monitor SLA performance and delivery.
• Act as senior escalation point for regional support teams, maintain runbooks and disaster recovery procedures.
• Deputise for senior IT operations leadership and contribute to regional IT strategy.

This is a hands-on senior role covering infrastructure, cloud, endpoint management, service operations and technology transformation. You will work closely with global infrastructure, security and engineering teams to keep the regional environment highly available, secure and resilient. It suits an experienced IT professional who enjoys staying close to the technology and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the availability, performance and reliability of regional IT infrastructure and core business platforms across APAC.
• Provide technical leadership across Microsoft infrastructure, cloud, networking, endpoints and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Windows Server and virtualisation.
• Proactively monitor and improve infrastructure health, capacity and resilience.
• Lead major incident management, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews and preventative actions.
• Partner with global IT, Cyber Security and Engineering teams on infrastructure transformation, cloud adoption and regional initiatives.
• Lead or support APAC projects such as office moves, network upgrades, infrastructure refreshes and cloud migrations.
• Manage endpoint environments using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, covering provisioning, patching, encryption, compliance and secure decommissioning.
• Work with Cyber Security to maintain security baselines, conditional access, endpoint protection and access controls.
• Evaluate emerging technologies through pilots and proofs of concept, and identify opportunities for automation and standardisation.
• Review and validate technology changes, ensuring proper risk assessment, testing and rollback planning.
• Manage vendors and third-party providers, monitoring SLA performance and delivery commitments.
• Act as a senior escalation point for regional support teams, and maintain runbooks, documentation and disaster recovery procedures.
• Deputise for senior IT operations leadership when required and contribute to regional IT strategy.

What we are looking for:

• At least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, IT operations or a related field.
• Strong experience managing enterprise infrastructure across a regional or global environment, including cloud and hybrid setups.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory / Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Azure and virtualisation.
• Hands-on experience with Intune, Autopilot, Conditional Access and security policies.
• Proven experience handling P1/P2 incidents, major incident management, RCA and problem management.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects as a technical lead, project lead or regional liaison.
• Good understanding of ITIL, ITSM and change management, and strong awareness of cybersecurity and business continuity.
• Experience working with global stakeholders across time zones and managing MSPs and technology partners.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and senior business stakeholders.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline. ITIL, Microsoft or Azure certifications are advantageous.
