Job summary

OKX is seeking a Deputy General Counsel – Litigation & Investigations for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa. The role leads criminal referrals, civil disputes, and regulatory investigations across the region, partnering with risk, compliance, and global legal teams to manage complex enforcement matters in a fast-growing crypto environment.

The successful candidate will oversee external counsel, drive strategy, and build strong relationships with authorities, prosecutors, and internal colleagues

Qualifications

• Admitted as solicitor or barrister in Hong Kong or Singapore.
• 12+ years post-qualification experience in contentious work, with Asia experience.
• Prosecutorial or criminal enforcement background with arbitration and trial experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Mandarin/Cantonese at working level strongly preferred.
• Willing to travel across the region.
• Prior in-house experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead criminal referrals and prosecution coordination.
• Build referral files with Risk and Compliance to meet prosecutorial standards.
• Drive referred matters through to charge and prosecution.
• Serve as senior legal relationship owner for police and prosecutors in the region.
• Own end-to-end regional civil docket including intake, strategy, and resolution.
