Job summary

OKX is seeking a Deputy General Counsel for Litigation & Investigations in Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa. The role is based in Hong Kong or Singapore, reporting to senior leadership, and focuses on leading criminal referrals, regulatory inquiries, and large-scale civil litigation across the region.

You will supervise regional teams, engage with authorities, and shape strategy for mass disputes while coordinating with Global Regulatory Legal and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Admitted as solicitor or barrister in Hong Kong; based in Hong Kong or Singapore.
• 12+ years post-qualification experience in contentious work, with Asia experience.
• Prosecutorial or criminal enforcement background, plus arbitration and trial experience; in-house experience preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Mandarin/Cantonese strongly preferred for regional engagement.

Responsibilities

• Own OKX’s framework for identifying conduct that warrants criminal referral and coordinate with authorities.
• Build and package referral files with Risk and Compliance to a prosecutorial standard.
• Lead regional civil docket end-to-end including intake, strategy, and resolution.
• Oversee affirmative civil disputes, including recoveries, injunctions, and disputes with counterparties.
