Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment, based in Singapore, seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead APAC controllership activities, supervise RTR performed by an external provider, and ensure timely, accurate financial close and reporting. The role covers Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, India and Singapore entities, with a focus on tax, statutory reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent.
7–9 years in accounting/audit, 5–6 years with a Big Four or other reputable firm.
Strong RTR/controllership with end-to-end close experience.
Experience in statutory reporting and tax across APAC jurisdictions.
Experience in Australia and exposure to APAC markets.
Ability to coach outsourced finance team and review deliverables.
Excellent English communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Oversee RTR and month-end close by outsourced team, review journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
Coach the outsourced team to improve quality and capability; escalate complex close matters.
Manage statutory and tax matters across ANZ, Thailand and Singapore entities with India oversight.
Oversee statutory reporting and annual audit processes for assigned entities.
Coordinate tax computations and filings with internal Tax and external advisers.
Maintain strong controls, address gaps, remediate audit findings and manage risks.
Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize finance processes.
Support automation, transformation and regional project work.
Build relationships with regional/local Finance teams, auditors and tax advisers.
