Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking an experienced Finance Manager based in Singapore to support APAC controllership across Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, India and selected Singapore investment entities. You will oversee RTR activities delivered by an outsourced finance service provider, ensuring accurate close, reporting and tax compliance.

You will guide accounting deliverables, coach the outsourced team, and drive process improvements and finance transformation initiatives while

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and professional qualification (CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent).
Around 7–9 years of relevant experience, including 5–6 years at a Big Four or similar firm.
Solid RTR/controllership experience with end-to-end close and reporting.
Experience in statutory reporting and tax compliance across APAC.
Experience in Australia and exposure to other APAC markets.
Ability to coach outsourced finance teams and review deliverables.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
English communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

Oversee RTR and month-end close by the outsourced finance team, review journals, accruals, reconciliations and balance-sheet movements.
Coach the outsourced team and provide technical guidance; escalate complex close matters.
Manage statutory reporting and tax across ANZ, Thailand and Singapore entities, with India oversight.
Coordinate statutory accounts filings, audit requests and supporting schedules.
Oversee corporate income tax and other tax compliance with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain strong controls and address audit findings; remediate control gaps.
Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize finance processes; drive improvements.
Support automation, finance transformation and regional projects.
Engage with regional/local Finance teams, external auditors and tax advisers.
