Job summary

Hines, a leading global real estate investment manager, invites students to join as a Summer Analyst Intern for the APAC region in Singapore. You will gain hands-on experience with a team focused on specific investment management functions, assisting with underwriting and asset management of operating properties, and exploring new markets and business lines.

Under guidance from a manager and team, you will work on market research, due diligence, financial analysis and other responsibilities,

Qualifications

• Strong math and quantitative aptitude.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Creative problem solver.
• Ability to prioritize/coordinate multiple projects.
• Second-year or third-year students, or final-year entering graduate program.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience by working with an assigned team focusing on specific functions within the Commercial Real Estate Investment Management process.
• Assist with underwriting of new projects and asset management of operating properties.
• Work on assignments such as vetting potential investments and researching new markets and product types.
• Expose yourself to top-quality assets with daily interactions with seasoned real estate professionals.
• Contribute to processes and decisions through market research, due diligence, financial analysis and related responsibilities.
• Present capstone project to Investment Management staff and leadership at summer end.

Responsibilities

As an Investment Management Summer Analyst Intern for APAC with Hines, you will:

• Gain hands-on experience by working with an assigned team specializing in specific functions within the Commercial Real Estate Investment Management process.
• Assist with the underwriting of new projects and asset management of operating properties.
• Work on possible assignments such as vetting potential investments, assisting with research on new markets and product types and investigating new business lines.
• Work on Hines’s top-quality assets with daily exposure to highly seasoned real estate professionals.
• Contribute meaningfully to processes and decisions that impact Hines’ world-renowned properties through market research, due diligence, financial analysis, and a range of other responsibilities.
• With guidance from a manager and team, interns will highlight their skills and abilities through a capstone project. At the conclusion of the summer, interns will present their project to Investment Management staff and leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

• Students from any academic discipline will be considered; however, a strong math and quantitative aptitude is required.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Creative problem solver.
• Ability to prioritize/coordinate multiple projects.
• Current second-year and third-year will be considered along with final-year who will be immediately entering a graduate program.
