FU XIANG ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Structural Drafter / Rebar Scheduler to support our RC subcontracting team. You will detail structures, read drawings, and prepare accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) using AutoCAD and Excel to minimize steel waste on site.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and suppliers, and to track revisions and rebar delivery while ensuring timely orders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drafting & detailing: use AutoCAD to check layouts and update shop drawings.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Structural Drafter / Rebar Scheduler to join our RC (Reinforced Concrete) subcontracting team. You will handle structural detailing, read drawings, and prepare accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel to support site construction and minimize steel waste.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting & Detailing: Use AutoCAD to check structural layouts, update shop drawings, and verify rebar details.
• Bar Bending Schedules (BBS): Read structural drawings and prepare clear BBS in Excel showing rebar quantities, shapes, sizes, and cutting lengths.
• Waste Optimization: Calculate cutting lengths to minimize rebar steel scrap and waste on site.
• Coordination: Work with site engineers, main contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely rebar orders and delivery.
• Record Keeping: Track drawing revisions, approved BBS versions, and rebar tonnage delivered.

Requirements

• Experience: 1–3 years as a Structural Drafter, Detailer, or Rebar Scheduler (preferably with an RC subcontractor).
• Software: Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Technical Skills: Able to read structural drawings, understand rebar shape codes, lap/anchorage requirements, and standard bending practices.
• Work Style: Detail-oriented, accurate with numbers, and organized.
