Job summary

ZHONG CHENG DEVELOPMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full charge of rebar activities on a construction site. You will lead a team of rebar workers, assign daily tasks, and ensure a smooth workflow to meet production targets.

You will plan operations, communicate with project managers and other trades, and uphold strict quality standards for bar size, spacing, lap lengths, and concrete cover. Safety leadership and coordination to avoid delays are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of rebar workers in cutting, bending, handling, and fixing rebars.
• Develop detailed weekly and daily work plans to coordinate with other trades and ensure timely project progress.
• Enforce quality, bar size, spacing, lap length, and concrete cover per design requirements; conduct self-inspections.
• Manage rebar materials delivery, inventory, and usage to minimize waste.
• Act as responsible person for workplace safety, conducting toolbox talks and ensuring PPE usage.

Job description

Site Management & Team Leadership:

Take full charge of rebar activities. Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of rebar workers in cutting, bending, handling, and fixing rebars. Efficiently assign daily tasks, ensure a smooth workflow, and achieve production targets.

Planning:

Provided clear technical briefings to the team to guide site operations.

Quality Control & Compliance:

Ensure all rebar works, including bar size, spacing, lap length, and concrete cover, fully comply with design requirements. Conduct self-inspections and prepare work for official checks.

Progress & Material Management:

Develop detailed weekly and daily work plans to ensure rebar activities are well-coordinated with other trades (e.g., formwork, concreting) and do not delay the overall project schedule. Manage rebar material delivery, inventory, and usage to minimize waste.

Workplace Safety:

Act as the responsible person for workplace safety, enforcing the WSH Act. Conduct daily Tool Box Meetings, ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.

Communication & Coordination:

Serve as the primary interface for rebar works. Maintain effective communication with project managers, client representatives, consultant engineers, and other trade foremen (e.g., Formwork Foreman) to report progress and resolve site issues promptly.
