Job summary

ZHONG CHENG CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING (PTE.) LTD. seeks a proactive Site Manager to lead rebar activities on our projects.

You will supervise a team of rebar workers, assign daily tasks, and ensure work progresses safely and efficiently to meet targets. You will coordinate with formwork and concreting teams, ensure compliance with design specs including bar size and spacing, and uphold WSH standards through daily toolbox talks and PPE discipline.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience leading rebar teams on construction sites.
• Ability to develop clear daily/weekly work plans.
• Solid understanding of design specs and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of rebar activities and lead a team of rebar workers.
• Provide clear daily tasks and ensure smooth workflow to meet targets.
• Ensure rebar works comply with design requirements (bar size, spacing, lap length, cover).
• Coordinate with formwork and concreting teams to avoid schedule delays.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce PPE usage for safety.
• Report progress and resolve site issues with PMs and engineers.

Job description

Site Management & Team Leadership:

Take full charge of rebar activities. Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of rebar workers in cutting, bending, handling, and fixing rebars. Efficiently assign daily tasks, ensure a smooth workflow, and achieve production targets.

Planning:

Provided clear technical briefings to the team to guide site operations.

Quality Control & Compliance:

Ensure all rebar works, including bar size, spacing, lap length, and concrete cover, fully comply with design requirements. Conduct self-inspections and prepare work for official checks.

Progress & Material Management:

Develop detailed weekly and daily work plans to ensure rebar activities are well-coordinated with other trades (e.g., formwork, concreting) and do not delay the overall project schedule. Manage rebar material delivery, inventory, and usage to minimize waste.

Workplace Safety:

Act as the responsible person for workplace safety, enforcing the WSH Act. Conduct daily Tool Box Meetings, ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.

Communication & Coordination:

Serve as the primary interface for rebar works. Maintain effective communication with project managers, client representatives, consultant engineers, and other trade foremen (e.g., Formwork Foreman) to report progress and resolve site issues promptly.
